General Meeting scheduled for February 7

The first UM PRSSA General Meeting of the Spring Semester will be this coming Monday, February 7 @ 6:30 pm in Wolfson 4027.

This meeting will be a short introduction to PRSSA and an opportunity to ask questions and suggest potential programs/speakers/activities to the Executive Board.

To become a paying member of PRSSA please bring a $55 check (made out to UM PRSSA). You may also drop off dues checks with Maria Lopez on the third floor of the Wolfson building. The deadline to pay Spring dues in Tuesday, February 15th.

All PR professionals are invited to UM PRSSA Fall Professional Mixer!

The University of Miami Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America cordially invites you to our fall mixer at the Holiday Inn (1350 S. Dixie Hwy, Coral Gables) on Monday, December 6 from 6-8 pm.

At the mixer you will be able to:
  • Make valuable contacts for now and in the future
  • Find students interested in internships and full-time positions
  • Share your expertise and opinions with other professionals and students
  • Hear what PR students are learning and saying about public relations today
  • Make a student’s day by simply telling them about your profession
We would greatly appreciate your attendance and look forward to seeing you there!

Please indicate your name, position, company, company’s website and if you are currently seeking intern(s) or full-time employee(s). General meeting on Wednesday, October 6

  • Interested in Sports PR? PRSSA is having a general meeting this Wednesday - October 6 - at 6.30 in Wolfson Building, Room 4028 (School of Communication) featuring guest speaker Randy Sieminski, Director of Media Relations for the Florida Panthers.
  • If you wish to become a paying member of PRSSA please bring dues ($55 check made out to UM PRSSA). The final deadline to pay fall semester dues is Tuesday, October 12th. If you cannot attend this meeting -- drop off your check and membership form with Maria Lopez on the 3rd Floor of the Wolfson Building.

PRSSA kicks off Spring semester

UM PRSSA will be holding its first general meeting on Wednesday February 4th at 6:30 pm in Eaton Residential College classroom 148. This will be a short introductory meeting where members will get a change to meet the executive board and hear about the benefits of being in PRSSA as well as receive information on upcoming events and PRSSA’s agenda for the spring semester. PRSSA hopes to provide its members with valuable information and opinions about the industry by having professionals attend meetings and share experiences.
